John,
It is my understanding that a 4-way handshake is used only in wireless devices.
I am sure there are no native wireless devices for the HP3k. Yes technically you could (and I have done) plug an HP3k into a wireless switch/hub. The software on the HP would not know anything about that.
But hey, what do I know?

Good afternoon from South Texas -
Quick question - does MPE know anything about 4-way handshaking(8.11Ieee - I
think)? We are trying to talk to a credit-card bank processing center in
real-time and they seem to think we need to provide the "4-way" to shutdown
the background job 'gracefully'....I am blue in the face explaining...NOPE
don't need to from my end.
Thought I would ask before, I kick in the "HURT" factor on the unsuspecting
young man who can't spell HP.
Thanks
John
