I've had Zebra Stripe printers on a DTC as well as connected (with the
newer ones) to a network via a Jetdirect printer server. I know that
Zebra has a setup of their own to connect Zebra printers to a network,
but I've found Jetdirect to work just fine.

The reason why they work so well? The printer waits to receive a code to
start a label (in ZPL) and then formats the label according to your
specifications and then prints it when you indicate the label is
finished. Meanwhile, it ignores anything it considers to be superfluous,
such as HP's PJL. Always been happy with Zebra printers.
