Ernie,

Our department printer was recently replaced by an HP Color LaserJet
2605. Office and a load of other programs printed to it with no problem.

Reflection 8.0 and my favourite PC editor (NoteTab from Fookes Software)
both came up with the same error you are getting. Also, we were unable
to get it to work with our e3000 via network printing (NPCONFIG).

Changing it to an HP Color LaserJet 2605dtn solved that and allows us to
do duplexing (saves a few trees).

About 8 years ago (give or take a few) I purchased a laser printer from
Panasonic for my home Windoze PC. Was very happy with it until I
installed Linux and made the PC dual boot. Tried everything possible to
get the printer to work with Linux but it did not want to know. Finally
called Panasonic support and spoke to a very knowledgeable guy there.
Seems that my printer was one of the new GDI type that had no internal
intelligence and everything was controlled via the Windoze driver
software. Just like the 2605.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Reflection printing error

Greetings,

Somewhere in the back of my aged mind, I've run into this problem
before.

A user is unable to print using "File", "Print" in Reflection...version
11.0

Her Print Setup options are all set correctly and I'm stumped. All she
gets is a little dialog box stating "Error printing to printer".

It's an HP LaserJet, (not sure of the model), and she is able to print
all the other Windows things like Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Any clues?

Thanks,

Ernie
