RENOIR is currently seeking candidates to fill the following position:
Migration Developer (HP3000 / HP9000)
This is a contract, contract to hire or permanent opportunity in Montreal,
Quebec.
Job Description:
•Provides technical implementation during services engagements
•Fulfills technical lead duties when necessary
•Seeks to fulfill secondary engagement goals - i.e. intelligence gathering, etc.
•Fills out engagement/client reviews
•Architects technical solutions to business problems
•Analyzes and validates technology components and configurations
•Builds prototypes for benchmarking and/or validation
•Provides design phase deliverables
•Appraises engagement team members
•Continually seeks to add value and to extend engagements
Requirements:
•5-10 years of experience developing / migrating complex business
applications on the HP3000 platform
•Applicants should also have experience in both Windows and UNIX operating
system environments
•Extensive recent knowledge of MPE, IMAGE, COBOL, ACUCOBOL, MICRO-
FOCUS, SUPRTOOL, ADAGER, QUERY, JCL, UNIX, WINDOWS, ORACLE or
SQLSERVER
•Knowledge of SPEEDWARE products including AMXW would be an asset
•Candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
supporting multiple projects through various phases of requirements,
specification, implementation, testing, and documenting
•Strong communication and analytical skills are needed when collaborating
with customers, project managers and other consultants
•Requires a self-starter, self-motivated individual, with a desire to learn and
lead, and can display a positive attitude in a team environment
•Must be proficient in technical troubleshooting
•Determining customer needs and recommending services based on those
needs
