Pretty sure its a "nothing" (timeout).
FWIW, the firewall software we have here on user PCs blocks pings by default.
I'm nowhere near smart & confident enough to override that -- we're a
one-building site, so if I want to be sure a PC is alive and responding, I can
walk over to it.

Even if a ping were blocked at the firewall, would not there be a
refusal response as opposed to nothing?
Or does it go to a black hole?
