Hi Ray-

No, that doesn't look right. I chose the Reflection Label method,
and ended up with a file that looks like this:

:print tztab.lib.sys
# @(#) HP C/iX Library A.75.00 2006-09-20

# Mitteleuropaeische Zeit, Mitteleuropaeische Sommerzeit
MEZ-1MESZ
0 3 25-31 3 1983-2038 0 MESZ-2
0 2 24-30 9 1983-1995 0 MEZ-1
0 2 25-31 10 1996-2038 0 MEZ-1

# Middle European Time, Middle European Time Daylight Savings Time
MET-1METDST
0 3 25-31 3 1983-2038 0 METDST-2
0 2 24-30 9 1983-1995 0 MET-1
0 2 25-31 10 1996-2038 0 MET-1

# Greenwich Mean Time, British Summer Time
GMT0BST
0 3 25-31 3 1983-1984 0 BST-1
0 3 23-29 3 1985-1990 0 BST-1
0 3 25-31 3 1991-1995 0 BST-1
0 2 25-31 3 1996-2038 0 BST-1
0 1 25-31 10 1983-1985 0 GMT0
0 1 23-29 10 1986-1994 0 GMT0
0 1 18-24 10 1995 0 GMT0
...

And here is a listfile:

:listfile tztab.lib.sys,2
ACCOUNT=  SYS         GROUP=  LIB

FILENAME CODE ------------LOGICAL RECORD----------- ----SPACE----
SIZE TYP EOF LIMIT R/B SECTORS #X MX

TZTAB 1276B VA 513 513 1 512 2 8

I'd say something went wrong. Don't use that file.

Steve

Subject: [HP3000-L] TZTAB file

Hi all,

Our current TZTAB file looks nice and neat, but the new one we downloaded from JAZZ looks ugly. I realize that the instructions state that after you run FROMBYTE, the newly created TZTABSTD file will be a fixed record binary file, but I find it odd that the old file was ASCII and the new file will be binary. Sooo, just wanted to make sure that everyone else experienced this difference before we jump into the fire.

Here’s are current file:

:PRINT TZTAB.LIB.SYS

# @(#) HP C/iX Library A.06.04 2000-11-10

# Mitteleuropaeische Zeit, Mitteleuropaeische Sommerzeit

MEZ-1MESZ

0 3 25-31 3 1983-2038 0 MESZ-2

0 2 24-30 9 1983-1995 0 MEZ-1

0 2 25-31 10 1996-2038 0 MEZ-1

# Middle European Time, Middle European Time Daylight Savings Time

MET-1METDST

0 3 25-31 3 1983-2038 0 METDST-2
