That's true.
We don't expect an attack from the south. It's our soft underbelly.
We don't expect a major attack from anywhere. Our strategy is to try not to
piss anybody off.
Within Canada, our military shows up more as a disaster relief organization.
They show up at various floods, forest fires, and maritime rescue
operations and seem to do an admirable job.
Externally we tend to favour a policing action. This guy named Lester
Pearson won a Nobel prize for this approach. It might not always work but we
try our best.

PS. I don't know if the reference to South Park and "blame Canada" was
intentional or not. :-)
