I give up, this machine does NOT have C/iX, nor Pascal, and
furthermore.... NO AIFINTR file!

You can't change the intrinsic file within the program itself, but you
can 
use a different intrinsic file with a file equate :FILE 
SYSINTR=AIFINTR.PUB.SYS.  To do this your AIF calls must be within a 
subprogram that doesn't need to do any standard intrinsic calls.
