Just a thought...
Couldn't you use CSTM's MAP/SELECT ALL/IL to get the info you need? 
You should see the DDS drive hanging out there ...

You should be able to eyeball this from the back of the system. Find the
tape
drive(s) and note the SCSI address. It is either a push button that
shows the number or a set of dip switches. Then follow the SCSI cable
back to the system. 
Labels
on the devices with LDEV numbers and path identifiers are very helpful.

The N4000 systems are fairly standard in LDEV 7 at path 0/0/1/0.6.0  but
YMMV.
