Dangit! That's my whole year's salary at this place! Whoops...wait...I forgot...my longevity pay was taken away last year when my position was reverted back to "adjunct", even though I taught the same number of hours, so that figure is LESS than my whole year's pay (longevity was to have been $2000 this year, so I have taken a $2000 pay cut for this year).
Bitter am I? Naw..........33 years teaching here (19 1/2 on a full-time appointment), and I now make less money and have no health insurance to show for it. I'm also told my monthly retirement amount, when I "retire" will be about $500. Boy, I can really live high on the hog on THAT................(oh, and I AM over 50)
