Hello Eugene & The 3000-L,
Question: Is linking to copyrite'd materials on an organization's
website (such as www.familydoctor.org) considered 'distribution of copyrite
material' that violates the law?
This question came from a web developer who believes that linking to
sites such as the above listed site would violate the law and a company
policy of prohibiting the distribution of copyrited material.
I found this on the familydoctor website related to the linking to their
website from a website ... but still wondering about the legality of
copyrite material usage
What if I want to link to the Academy's site?
We believe that links ought to be made based on their merits. If you feel
linking to our site would benefit your audience, feel free to do so. Please
let us know that the link was created using the form below. The AAFP home
page is http://www.aafp.org.
I am cross posting this onto the HP 3000-L for their imput as well..
though you are definitely considered the final source on computer legal
matters in that Realm.
