Interesting....for when I was on the program committee working jointing
with Encompass
representatives, we had to push quite hard to get them to agree to having
the number of
papers/presentations needed to have even close to a single track throughout
the conference
as well as any seminar slots. There were some Encompass committee members
who tried very hard to just about eliminate it from the program through
various maneuvers, review/delay decision tactics, and reneging on previous
agreements etc. while the Interex portion of the team supported their
older-generation technology needs.
