To all fun-loving UTC people! Join us for two different FUNdraisers
for Sequatchie Valley Institute on May 20th and 21st, 2006: Our yearly
Wine-Tasting event at SVI/Moonshadow and then a Book Signing at the
Nature Center with Nishantha Gunawardena, Author/Photographer of the
bestseller, "TRACES OF EDEN". Oh yes, if you long for fresh Shiitake
mushrooms, this coming Saturday, May 13 is "Lunch and a Log"--just
that--you learn to inoculate a log with mushroom spores and take your
own log home, then have a mushroom rich luncheon. Call me or contact
the email address below. We promise you won't get trapped by floods or
snow this time (unless you want to)!--Carol
Come eat, drink and be merry at SVI’s seventh annual wine-tasting!

Wine in the Woods is a FUNdraising event for SVI members only. A
tax-deductible donation for the wine-tasting event is requested. We
suggest a $25 per person, $40 per pair, donation or more. If you are
not a member, but would like to attend, you can become a member at the
door for a mere $25/year.
The wine-tasting showcases homemade, regional and organic wines
accompanied by vegan and vegetarian hors d’ouvres.
In keeping with our vision of sustainability, we ask tasters to bring
their own glasses. OR, you can purchase a hand-blown wine goblet
created by Chattanooga artisan and SVI advisory board member, Prentice
Hicks, as an SVI donation.
We encourage folks to spend the night. If you choose to do so, you
need to bring a tent, flashlight and bedding.
No pets, please. A donation of $5 includes camping, breakfast and
great coffee!
