Ken Hirsch ported OpenSSH to MPE, and his "OpenSSH for MPE" note are at

Doug Werth also provided "Beechglen SFTP InstallNotes" at

While I had help setting this up on a 3000 with no gnu tools installed 
whatsoever, so it took a while, and ran into some challenges, and got plenty 
of help, it was worth doing, and it worked well for our need to encrypt a 
port.
