Jeff,

In theory, you could be right, but the timeline just does not cut. Why ?
Because the HP-Compaq merger was announced 09/25/2001, just 2 weeks after
the infamous attacks, and it's obvious the decision to scuttle CSY and the
3000 was taken a long time before the announcement, perhaps 6 months before.
Insider sources back this.
