Dave,
While I've developed command files that create 'subroutine' command files
on the fly using the 'echo' command (created a 'self generating' command
file that aborts inactive sessions), I think you could achieve what you
want by using the following construct:
#
# This section of the command file creates a sub-command file
print ;out=subcmd1
parm p1=1, p2="a",
setvar ..
#type any number of mpe commands
#
:eod
#
#create second sub-command file
print ;out=subcmd2
...
...
:eod
The lines between each 'print ;out=...' statement and the corresponding
':eod' will be written into the corresponding temporary file.
Then further down you could execute those command files.
