a couple of points:
 - MPE OS support was extended.  if your contract is indicating that
your *software* support ends on 12/31/2006, you need to go back to hp. 
we're in the process of renewing (all) our hp contracts and our mpe
software initially came up this way,
 - afaik, *hardware* support was *not* extended.  i think hardware
support is ending (has ended) for all 9x8 and 9x9 servers.  for folks
on pci systems, your hardware support should still be ok.  for gary --
an a400 could very well be coming off support :-(  again, you need to
go back to hp.
