Hi Nigel,

I had been working with Gilles Schipper behind the scenes :-)....Below is
the config, and Yes, it is a Pseudo Terminal setup....based on no other
changes needed for another couple of months, at which time this site is
going to be consolidated onto a different box at a central location, and the
desire not to have to do further reboots, I am not sure what else the site
will be willing to do, but you never know ;-)...

Dan

And you guessed correctly on the reboot option.....it IS an option, though
not a convenient one ;-)

Hi Dan,

What is LDEV 132 ? Is it some sort of DTC printer or Pseudo device ? If
a DTS device what profile is it using ?

Regards,

Nige...

Hmmm, even after a reboot, the site is still getting the following
message at startup:

print logdcc.pub.sys
==========  FRI, FEB  3, 2006,  8:55 AM
DCC STARTUP - ENTER - version C0500001 compiled 000612
DCC ERROR -120-3, (HLIO status 0004006F, ldev 132). (DCCERR=6)
DCC STARTUP - ERROR

Any other ideas ?!?

Well, I was able to get the validate to go thru cleanly by not choosing
to apply the changes now, so managed to save my co-workers input work
from yesterday.

Now we are working on getting a reboot done to see if things will clear
up.....

If that's the case, you need to back out the printer definition or fix
it such that validation succeeds.

You will not be able to successfully restart the DCC subsystem absent a
valid DTS subsystem subset of your nmconfig file.

You may be able to recover an earlier version NMCONFIX.PUB.SYS. Try
replacing NMCONFIG with that, revalidate and reboot.

If that does not do it, you will need to retrieve NMCONFIG.PUB.SYS from
backup, revalidate, and reboot.
