Subject: Lookout Valley Science Fair


Greetings, all.  I am writing to ask a favor of you.

Lookout Valley is having a science fair this year.  It is the first science
fair at this school in several years, and most of the students here have not
participated in one before.

I am writing to ask if you would be willing to be a judge.

The fair will take place on Monday, February 13th.  The judging will be in
the afternoon.  Things will probably be set up by 2:00, but times are really
flexible.  As long as the judging is complete by 7:00 p.m. (when the PTA
meeting begins), things will be ok time-wise.

I am VERY sorry for the short notice, time just slipped away from me.  We
are hoping we can get AT LEAST three judges, ideally from each subject
(biology/ecology, chemistry, physics).  We will be happy with whoever is
able to volunteer, and grateful.  If we get more than three judges, all the
better! 

Thanks for your consideration on this matter...if you could let me know ASAP
if you are able to participate I would appreciate it.  If you know of
someone who might enjoy judging that I have not contacted, please feel free
to spread the word and let me know.

PS - We're not expecting any stellar projects, so please don't have your
hopes up too high!  We are just excited to introduce this opportunity to
them this year.  All students are required to participate, so there will be
about 250 projects to judge (hopefully).
