Tuesday, February 7
The men of Eta Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the
Office of Multicultural affairs will sponsor Our Young Black Men are
Dying and Nobody Seems to Care, a play written by James H. Chapmyn. This
free event is open to the public, and it will be held at 7 p.m. in the
UTC University Center Auditorium. Our Young Black Men are Dying and
Nobody Seems to Care is a non-confrontational play that depicts the
choices facing African American males today. It seeks to give purpose
and mission to the needless slaughter of young people by telling their
whole stories and showing them a way out or any crisis. After the show,
there will be a brief discussion with the women from the cast. The
session ends with a poetry selection that captures the theme of the
evening.
