nmon is free available on the IBM site
http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/eserver/articles/analyze_aix/
Also an Excel based analysing "tool" can be found.

On AIX we use topas as well:

My AIX 5.3 64-bit system doesn't seem to have nmon...  I don't have admin
rights on this system.  Could that be the reason?
