Passshaw! When I was a youngster, why I could pick off a Horned Toad at
15 yards with my homemade slingshot - using a single BB!

;-D

Hi Lou & Denys :)
At 200 yards a standard sized man in full "battle rattle" will only
appear about 1 inch high when viewed with the unaided human eye ... This
is
an excellent "pattern"!! I normally get a pattern of 2-3 inches at
this
distance ... tho' I am shooting in a method that is normally consided to
simulate combat shooting ... ie... the shot is scored if I hit the
man...
there are no points ... I normally get the following for my shooting...
(to
show that Denys isn't bragging... he is just plain GOOD!)

For those who want to know what the sight picture looks like that
Denys
and I are talking about... Take a 3 x 5 card... place it at 25 m (39.25
inches per meter or so) then look at the 3x5 card thru a hole that is 2-
3
millimeters in diameter.... this will simulate the sight picture of a
man
standing about 200m from you....

Marksmanship training has a goal in the US Infantry of a 3 shot group
that can be coverd with a US Dime :) But thsi is shot at a distance of
25
m without reloading using a M-16 or M-4 rifle ...

Wow! That's great for a .223 round! I'm very impressed! That was a fun
story. Thanks for sharing!
