Well, as I live and breathe, there is a CAPACITY in SHOW on DBUTIL. When
did that show up? Why didn't I get the memo? Why didn't I see it a few
minutes ago before answering when I did a HELP SHOW in DBUTIL? Why does it
show up now? Who is playing tricks on my HP3000? Is it Friday yet?
Where's the coffee?

So many questions, so little time.

:-)

Denys

this is so i can interogate the file for capacities > 79 %.

Ray,

  Try...
  :FILE DBUTLIST=MYFILE;DEV=DISC;SAVE

  :RUN DBUTIL.PUB.SYS

  > SHOW DBNAME CAPACITY OFFLINE
  > exit

  You can then interrogate MYFILE
