Many thanks to all who replied! Some of them got me thinking.
Wirt suggested:"If I were going to retrain for anything, it would be for
either becoming a
rock star, a brain surgeon or an NFL quarterback."
Rock Star: Reminded me of a Rolling Stones Documentary where they first got
world wide fame - in a haze of hash went to the Dominican Republic to do
some recording - got out and at somepoint wondered what their manager did
with all their money.
At least that's my recollection. I am wondering if it is too late for a
balding 55 year old to learn the electrric guitar but hey, if Mick can do
it...
Brain Surgeon - hmm, there's med school - then more school - I'd probably be
about 75 by the time I finished my residency ;-)
NFL Quarterback - well, with one knee banged up from skiing, a bit of a
paunch - the thought of being hit by a 300 lb linebacker makes me think this
could be a very limited career
Actually I like the gig the male star in American Beauty took - tired of the
rat race, keeping up with the Joneses and technology...took a job at the
drive in window of a fast food restaurant.
