Because I do not favour mixing the MPEiX and POSIX namespaces.
They have separate conventions and separate commands. When I look
for files in PUB.BACKUPS and use MPEiX style commands I will find
that STORE apparently produced no output. Why should the burden be
upon the user to recall where STORE squirrels away its output? Why
can it not just put it where it was told via the file equations
passed to the storeset parameter? What other utility arbitrarily
decides to rename your output files and place them in a separate
file system?

I care a very great deal about this. In fact, my experience with
STORE this past few months has been terribly disillusioning.

Sincerely,
Jim
