I have run across an interesting problem when trying to produce
byte-code for a Cognos PowerHouse application. During the compile
process using QDESIGN (729C8) the session hangs. Itis non-
responsive even to BREAK requests. ABORTIO at the console against
the session LDEV reports no I/O to abort and an attempt to ABORTJOB
the session results in a completely non-responsive system, logons
in progress do not complete and no new login prompts are available
over the network.
This behaviour has been noted on both MPEiX 7.0 and 7.5. Any ideas
as to what could be happening here? It seems odd to me that an
application to stall an HP3000.
Regards,
Jim
