Last year, my then 6 year old, was talking up a storm. During some
conversation he was having about Sponge Bob, I told him to 'breathe'
with the intent of getting him to stop (or at least slow down). Without
missing a beat, he inhaled, exhaled, inhaled again, and continued on
with his story.

Ya just gott'a love kids!

I am dealing with something similar.

When I asked my 6 year old daughter if she could stop talking for 5
seconds she replied "I have to talk or I won't be able to breathe", and
she was totally serious.
