My system A500-200-140 console was hung but the system was still running. I moved the console to another terminal and aborted ldev20's session. Still no reaction. I did a programatic logon and had the message come up with a colon prompt but still no response. I put the console back to ldev 20 and ran GSP to see if it would take and it did. I placed the terminal back into console mode and got at very slow response like 1200 baud. 

I tried to speed the terminal up using the speed command and got messages all the way up to 1920 that it was not supported. Tried the same commands on an alternate device and it worked their.

So with nothing else to test / try I made the decision to shutdown the system to see if that would clear it up.

After stopping all jobs sessions and the network I did a control A shutdown and got a Softeare abort FSERR 32  then a shut 4 then after about 5 minutes a shut 6 with no other shut messages.

Very strange.. 

Long and short of this was the console came back but I would still like to know what was wrong with my console in the first place.

Any clues?   Also 

after bringing up my network I get these messages that I think are normal since I did have PSMOND running without the network up and running.
