Didn't say they were hardcoded :)

Generally, when I see this kind of thing happening in my own
code, it's my fault, not the intrinsics fault :)
Hence the debug suggestion which removes *all* doubt.  

Assuming it's an MPE bug ...
If it's happening in FFILEINFO, one conjecture is that FFILEINFO is using
an uninitialized variable to calculate the mythical extent size, and
that variable is getting a different random value when executing on the
stack of your process than within, say, cxlistfile (in CI).
