The file code for such files is 1515, which you will notice, is not a
negative number. However, all FOPENs to PM files must specify the proper
file code so I would make sure the number is 1515.

That would be my first step.

Subject: [HP3000-L] FOPENing PRIVMODE files Problem

I have a PM program that needs to FOPEN privmode files.

It calls GETPRIVMODE prior to the FOPEN. Works just great on TurboIMAGE
database files
(-400, -401 file codes etc)

My problem is trying to do the FOPEN on the privmode files in IN.HPSPOOL...

The program can't FOPEN these files -- gives me a 45 error code which is a
privmode
error.

What foptions and aoptions should I use for these files?

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA,
Brian Donaldson.
