BBQ there on one of my pilgrimages to Texas (visiting family) and it was
superb. Didn't have time to check out the caverns, but I hear they're

I buy wood in larger quantities and bring it to the back yard. You can

would like to know what model. I'm interested in trying to come close
to what my Grandpa used to do in the backwoods of western Missouri.
Some how the stove in my cozy warm kitchen seems like cheating and would

If you're in Minnesota, you could also go to Famous Dave's and see how

to barbecue. :-) The ribs are overdone and too dry in my opinion. I
think
their cooking temperature is too high, they try to do it too quickly and
you
just can't rush barbecue. You need the heat, smoke, rub and time all in
their proper quantities.

Amen. One reason I could handle moving from Houston to southern
Minnesota is
a guy here from Tennessee who runs a barbecue stand. He sells more
grilled
bratwurst than anything else, but his smoked beef...!
