Well, I use QEDIT on our production server, but the hot recovery
box I am working on is definitely a low budget affair and an
additional licence is not in the cards. In a disaster situation
there is a provision to get QEDIT running for ten days while the
licence is transferred but it hardly makes sense to expend that
option during setup of the recovery machine.

I actually would prefer to use vi or vim on the HP3000 because that
is what I use on all of our Linux boxes. However, I am having no
end of trouble getting files edited in vi to be properly recognized
in the MPEiX namespace. SYSSTART.PUB and UDC files are the most
bothersome to date but I am sure that is only for want of
opportunity to discover all the other areas that have similar
difficulties.

Regards,
Jim
