We are experiencing performance problems when we FTP some large files
from our HP3000s to a couple of external FTP servers (via our office
firewalls).

My investigations reveal :

1) We can FTP the file from the HP3000 to an internal FTP server (inside
our network) at a decent speed
2) We can also FTP the file from our PCs to the external FTP server
using Reflections FTP client at the same speed
3) And we can read the file from the External FTP server to our HP at
roughly the same speed.

So the only problem appears to be when we PUT the file from the HP3000
to the external FTP server. I also believe the problem only occurs on
large files, but I can't yet quantify what I mean by "large".

For info, the file is being transferred as Binary.

Any suggestions dear listers ?

Here's a sample of the FTP script being us(suitably censored)
