Eric,

Everyone know Adager and DBGENRL..

There was also ?flexibase? and I believe there was a DBCHG tool on the CSL.

If only we had access to the CSL....

I am triing to help out a company with some HP3000 issues they are having. Most of the problems have been easy to resolve but one has me stumped. Mostly because of comments the client has made. The client has no in house expertise with the box. The person who worked on the machine is gone.

They have a detail data set that needs to be expanded but own no 3rd party software like Adager or DBGeneral. I thought the only way to do this was using an unload and reload changing the schema. This is, from my memory, a time consuming process.

The client claims that the last person to do a capacity change did very quickly (10 Minutes) during the day. The only products that are not HP products on the machine are cognos (quiz, qtp). I can't even find DBChange or DB Change Plus on the machine.

It has been a long time since I have worked on a 3000 so I could be very easily missing something. Thank You for the help.
