Looking for clarification here.

PART I:

Is it true that when using FTP on an HP3000 to access a domain, one can
only access the the top level domain?

E.g.:

:FTP
FTP>o xxxxx.yyyyy.com

Is it true that one CANNOT open from FTP on an HP3000 a subdirectory
directly?

E.g:

:FTP
FTP>o xxxxx.yyyyy.com/subdirectory

In other words am I correct in saying, one has to log in at the top
level domain name then do a chdir afterwards?

PART II:

Is is true when accessing internal domains using FTP on an HP3000, one
CANNOT use the windows reverse double-slash method of prefix addressing?

E.g.
:FTP
FTP> o \\adomain\somewhere\inmycompanys\windowsserver

Rather one should access the internal top level, once logged on do a cd
to get where you need to be?

:FTP
FTP>o adomain
FTP>cd somewhere
FTP>cd inmycompany
FTP>cd windowsserver
FTP>cd subdirectory

Or:

:FTP
FTP>o adomain
FTP>cd adomain\somewhere\inmycompany\windowsserver\subdirectory
