A couple of options: If you have a good configuration stored in a
different group, you can use the GROUP= parameter on your START command
to invoke it. The other option is to start the system in single-disc
mode so the bad path is ignored and you can modify the config:
START NORECOVERY;SINGLE-DISC

Subject: 928 not coming up
I think I shot myself in the foot here.
Standby 928 system. Modifying ldev and paths to try to connect Jamaica
box,
I managed to define an apparently illegal path (as mentioned before,
mapper
wont run , wrong pdc version) of 56/56.2.0 . Sysgen saved it ok, but
doionow
halted the system. I tried a boot from a tape, but isl found no start
program, so I did an update, and came to the illegal path again and
halted
with no options to fix problem.
I cant find anywhere in the boot or isl to modify config...there must be
a
way surely? Do I have to do an install or something now, and let it find
what is really there and configure it?
TIA,
jp
