We have just observed a behaviour of the HPLASTSPID variable
on our MPE/iX 7.5 PowerPatch 2 system that surprised me quite
a lot...

When we stream a job, the HPLASTJOB and HPLASTSPID variables
get proper values for job number and spoolfile ID... as long
as the job is EXECuting... however, after the job finishes,
the HPLASTSPID is blanked and no longer contains the spoolfile
ID... this is what surprises me, as I was under the impression
that it would remain unchanged, regardless of the job state,
until I either stream another job or use SETVAR to change the
HPLASTJOB variable content.

Has anybody observed something similar? Could it be related
to the patch level of the system? A colleague noticed the same
behaviour after recently adding 7.5 PowerPatch 2, so we think
it might possibly be related.

Any ideas or insight welcome. Also if this might be related
to 3rd party packages like VESOFT and JPAK on this system.

Thanks, Lars.
