Friends of Poetry and Astronomy,

 

It is my pleasure to announce "Poetry Under the Stars," a free public
cultural/astronomy event at the Tamke-Allan Observatory in Rockwood, TN
on Aug 6, 2005. Rain or (star)shine, an evening of featured
astronomy-related poetry reading as well as an open mic will preface a
night of observing through the many telescopes and binoculars available.
In addition, there will be facility tours, solar observations, short
talks, student art on display,  and music.

Refreshments and door prizes will be provided. The program begins at 7
PM, but you are encouraged to come at 6 to take full advantage of all we
have to offer.
