To the Campus Community:

As many of you already know, one of our chillers suffered an electrical
failure Sunday that forced us to isolate cooling to various locations
throughout the campus. Luckily, the chiller has been repaired and the
campus chilled water system has come back down to acceptable
temperatures. We are in the process of realigning the previously
isolated areas and they should return to normal temperatures shortly.
Thank you for your patience.

Subject: [UTCSTAFF] Building Cooling Problems

To the Campus Community:

A Central Energy Plant chiller went off-line about 1:00 p.m. Sunday due
to an electrical failure. We expect to have the chiller back in service
Sunday evening. The chilled water temperatures may not return to normal
until Monday night or Tuesday morning. In an effort to speed the return
to normal operation, we are isolating any parts of campus facilities we
expect to be unoccupied during this time. We are also asking for your
help with the following steps to reduce the cooling load. Turning off
all unnecessary or non-used office and classroom lights, computers (both
office computers and computer labs), and closing window blinds can make
a difference.

We will keep you informed of progress.
