Unless the volume set the file is part of consists of a single disc drive,
the ldev no you received is fairly useless. MPE/iX spreads files across
multiple drives - the file label could be on one drive, the first extent on
another, the second extent on a third, etc. The number you got is probably
the drive with the file label on it.
