We still use Callback/3000 which includes Spoolscan on our $stdlists.
It will beep me or leave a voice message at home in case of a job or
catastrophe.  Even has a temperature sensor too and calls me when the
temperature in the computer room is too hot or power fail.

I think you can still buy the product, it hangs off a DTC port and runs
on a DOS PC.
