This usually comes from a Cisco router or managed switch on your network telling
the HP to send packets to another gateway, hence the gateway redirects. The
problem can be temporarily survived by doing:

NETCONTROL NET=LAN000;UPDATE=INTERNET

... if your configured network name is LAN000. The problem can only be
permanently fixed by preventing the Cisco equipment from issuing the redirect
directives in the first place (see your local Cisco guru to turn it off). The
HP3000 dutifully responds, per the standards, and sets up the redirect.
