I think in most of these cases the answer is yes. Evolution is based on the
differences from generation to generation between animals, cells, viruses,
etc. It accounts for why viruses become resistant to drugs, insects to
pesticides, and so on.
Belief in evolution may not be needed to invent computers, but in the case
of all of the biological items on your list an understanding of the
principles of evolution would certainly be helpful.
