Subject: IP Address in HOSTS file question

hi everyone,

i have a question about an ip address in our hosts file:

192.67.67.20 nic.ddn.mil src-nic.arpa

it has been in the file since we first brought the box up, but i don't know
what it's for, if it's necessary, or what. a whois search doesn't bring
back anything for those aliases, but a search on the ip address brings back
an organization name of 'SRI International', which has a website
(www.sri.com), which doesn't look at all like a site that should be in my
hosts file.

my hunch is that it was some sort of dns or name resolution site some time
ago, and is no longer needed, but i'd like a sanity check on that hunch.

can i safely remove this ip from my hosts file?

thanks!
john 'remove the nospam' maclerran
