Keven's right on it:
when you telnet/VT-MGR to a box, HPREMIPADDR is the address of your
termulator;
when you dsline to another machine, HPREMIPADDR is the address of the client
HP3000;
when you dsline to the same machine, HPREMIPADDR is that of the gateway,
probably 127.0.0.1.
