I hear that some foreign companies have pulled out of the U.S. because
of SOX (this may just be rumors, though).  No doubt, some companies that
could afford to buy back their stock may well do so just to avoid the
intrusion.

What's really a shame about SOX is that the *accountability* for changed
data has been confused (by many) with the *access* to data.
