I just now got around to looking at Shawn's recommended page. Let me
recommend it also. These maps are based on Chris Scotese's 1994 data. The pages I
recommended in my earlier posting are of his most recent work, but the advantage
of this page is that it allows a very nice, but surprisingly simple
HTML-animation if you press the Earlier/Later words below each map.
