Subject: ENGINEERING AND EDUCATION majors Scholarships available

The Charles Foundation has extended the application deadline until
Friday,
April 29th for the Charles Foundation scholarships. Last year, UTC
students
received $24,000 in funds from the Charles foundation.

Eligible Engineering and Education majors are those that meet the
following
criteria:

1) Be a full-time student for Fall 2005 (12 hours enrollment, 9 for
Graduate Education programs

2) Engineering Major or Education student admitted to the Teacher
Education
Program or student admitted to a Graduate Program in Education that
includes certification

3) Completion of 45 hours at UTC (for undergraduate students)

4) Minimum 3.5 GPA



Students must submit applications and three reference letters to the
Financial Aid Office by April 29th. Applications and complete details
