Lupton Library is proud to announce a new addition to its family of
full text databases: Project MUSE.
Project MUSE provides access to full text from over 250 scholarly
journals (starting around 1994) in the arts, humanities, and social
sciences. To search Project MUSE, simply to go the Library's Electronic
Databases page at: http://www.lib.utc.edu/databases/index.php and
select Project MUSE from the alphabetical listing. The database also
appears in the subject categories of English, History, Languages and
Literature, Political Science, and the Multisubject listing.
FEATURE HIGHLIGHT: If you are interested in articles dating as far
back as the 19th century, click on the option to "include back issues
from
JSTOR," another UTC database. Project MUSE and JSTOR have partnered to
provide you with the capability of searching both databases at once for
the 25 journal titles that they share.

other Library databases or services. Please contact us any time by

Lupton Library is offering a variety of database trials from April 12
through April 22, 2005. Four trials are for potential new databases
being considered by the Library. These cover the subject areas of art,
music, and reference books (special encyclopedias, dictionaries, and
more). Four separate trials are being conducted to find a replacement
search interface for the MLA International Bibliography that is
currently available to UTC through the WebSPIRS/SilverPlatter vendor.
This vendor will not be offering this database in the near future,
necessitating a search for a replacement.
Your feedback on the usefulness of these databases will help the
Library make decisions for future needs. Please click the following
link to
find out how to access the trials and how to provide us with feedback:
