In GLANCE/IX on the CPU screen there is a metric called -

Interval File Open Rate 0.0/sec

Can someone enlighten me as to what exactly this is referring to? I can
run one batch (only thing consuming CPU time) job and watch this item and
it shows things like 58-68/sec. I know my application well enough to know
that it does not specifically open/close files during it's run. Only
IMAGE, Spool and a couple of flat files are accessed. But once open, they
remain open for the duration.

Where is that number coming from?
